Hutto mandolin #137 dated July 4, 2001 - a great instrument. Original varnish finish by Scott Jackson, slightly deepened body (similar to Gilchrist.)
The late, great Dempsey Young (of Lost and Found) played it in 2004 and told me it sounded much better than his own Hutto.
When I said I'd like to try his Hutto, he told me something like "Well since you're used to this one, you're gonna think mine is a dog."
Adam Steffey played it and called it "a great axe" and "a monster." This one is definitely a unique and fine instrument.
$14,500. May consider trades involving your old Gibson banjo or another quality mandolin.
